Hot desk booking
The HAB space is located on the ground floor of the Hodgkin building at the Guy’s campus (room G60). The newly refurbished space offers an open-plan environment with 6 hot desks that can be booked through a user-friendly booking system. The space also includes a multi-purpose seminar room where we host training events and engagement activities, a meeting room, and a kitchen area to relax and network with fellow researchers. We believe that this space is an excellent place for collaboration and innovation in the field of bioinformatics…the place where bioinformatics happens!
Work alongside fellow Bioinformaticians
The hotdesk seating arrangements are designed to strengthen existing relationships, forge new connections, promote teamwork, and enhance knowledge exchange.
Each desk is equipped with two monitors, a keyboard, and a mouse.
To get started, simply bring your laptop and connect it to the monitors using either USB-C or HDMI cables.
How can you book?
You can book a desk by clicking here. This will open a calendar view, click anywhere and add the following info:
- Event title: add your name
- From/To: set the start and end dates for your booking.
- Calendar: choose a hot desk (i.e. Hot desk 1)
- Description: add your email here
- Save button: click the Save button when you are done creating or editing an event.
If it is your first time booking a desk with us, please email us at hab@kcl.ac.uk before arriving so that we can grant you access to the HAB.
