Title: Spatial Multimodal Integration in Breast Cancer
Dr Anthony Baptista is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Anita’s group at King’s College London and the Alan Turing Institute. His research integrates network science, mathematical modelling, and artificial intelligence to advance cancer biology. During his PhD, he developed multilayer network exploration methods based on random walk algorithms to study complex biological systems, applying them to gene prioritisation, drug discovery, and genome analysis. As a postdoctoral researcher at Queen Mary University of London, he co-developed inference methods to detect triadic interactions in networks and explored differential geometric models of gene expression dynamics using Ricci flow. His current research focuses on spatial biology, network theory, and explainable AI for spatial transcriptomics, aiming to develop interpretable, mathematically grounded tools for precision oncology.
